This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Short and plain-English on purpose.
What we collect
When you call us, text us, or request service through the site, we collect your name, phone number, the issue you’re facing (jump start, tow, flat tire, etc.), and your location so we can dispatch help. If you fill out the junk-car form, we also collect your vehicle’s year, make, model, condition, and ZIP code.
When you browse the site, we collect basic usage information through standard analytics, including pages visited, approximate location (derived from IP), device type, and how you arrived at the site.
Why we collect it
- To get help to you quickly — routing, ETA, and contacting you about the job
- To follow up on quotes for junk-car sales
- To improve the site and fix things that aren’t working
- To measure which marketing channels bring real customers
Text messages
If you submit a request through the site, our system sends a text message with your details to the operator on duty so they can reach you. Standard message and data rates may apply. We use your phone number only to contact you about the request you submitted.
Cookies
Our site uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics and for advertising — including Google Ads and Microsoft Ads (Bing), which help us measure whether an ad led to your request. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time (doing so won’t prevent you from requesting service — just call us instead), and you can opt out of your data being used for targeted advertising through Your Privacy Choices in the site footer or on our request form. We honor your browser’s Global Privacy Control signal automatically.
Who we share with
We don’t sell your personal information for money, and we don’t share it for anyone else’s marketing. We share limited data with the service providers we use to run the business, the website, and our own advertising — including our SMS provider, email provider, hosting provider, and analytics and advertising platforms. Using ad platforms to measure and target our own ads is something some state privacy laws treat as “sharing”; you can opt out any time (see Your choices). Each has its own privacy policy you can review:
- Twilio Privacy Policy — SMS delivery
- Resend Privacy Policy — email delivery
- Google — website analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising & conversion measurement (Google Ads)
- Microsoft — behavioral analytics (Clarity) and advertising & conversion measurement (Microsoft Ads / Bing)
- Cloudflare Privacy Policy — hosting & security
To measure which ads bring real customers, our website may also send a limited, hashed record of a conversion (such as a phone number) to Google and Microsoft server-to-server. These identifiers are scrambled before they are sent and are used only to match your request to an ad click.
Your choices
- Opt out of targeted advertising. Use Your Privacy Choices — the link in our site footer or on our request form — to opt out of your personal information being used for targeted advertising (the “sale” or “sharing” of your data). We also automatically honor your browser’s Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal.
- Clear or block cookies in your browser settings
- Opt out of personalized Google ads at Google My Ad Center
- Reply STOP to any text from us and we’ll stop sending messages
- Ask us to delete your records (see Contact, below)
Your privacy rights
Depending on your state, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of its use for targeted advertising or its “sale” or “sharing.” To exercise any of these, use Your Privacy Choices or contact us using the details below — we won’t treat you differently for it. Florida residents: as a small local business, Save Ital isn’t a “controller” covered by the Florida Digital Bill of Rights, but we honor these choices regardless.
How long we keep your information
Service records are kept as long as needed for our business records and any insurance/regulatory obligations. Analytics data follows each provider’s standard retention. You can request deletion at any time, subject to legal obligations.
Children
Our services are intended for adults (drivers). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Effective” date at the top. Checking back periodically is the best way to stay current.
